Type: Residential
Location: Kelowna

Transformed residence with incorporated chicken coup from unusable to a furnished kitchen, living room, master bedroom and bathroom that would not compromise the indoor square footage and outdoor covered living space

  • Low impact construction footprint– surrounding park and areas outside of house renovation were left in undisturbed
  • Original intention was to preserve the underlying and existing structure. Due to rot the entire floor from basement ceiling up was gutted and rebuilt
  • Cedar garage doors, stained roof trusses and rough cut timber stairs were added to incorporate natural elements
  • Exposed aggregate retaining walls added for structure and landscaping
  • Covered deck and sundeck with hot tub were added to the new outdoor living space
  • Blower test revealed improved airtightness in overall house equivalent to that of a new build
